I made scones!
This is a recipe from I Talk To Food,
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
juice of one lemon
zest of 3 lemons
1/3 cup cold butter, cubed
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
I used basil instead of lemon verbena and it was delicious. combining the dry ingredients with the butter and work with your hands into smaller pieces, then adding the wet and mixing with the best kitchen utensil, your hands.
Once everything is combined role out into a round about an inch think,
then cut into pieces,
putting onto a greased sheet pan and brushing with milk,
Cook for 15 minutes at 370
Delish!
With this we had fresh squeezed orange juice.
These scones can be used as a breakfast with a little jelly on top of can be used as a desert when toasted with a little butter in a pan. They are not too sweet but the lemon zest makes up for that sugar.
Other then stuffing our faces with scones my mother and I went on a bike/run together, I did 6 miles on my bike and a mile running.

I never used lemon verbena. They sound great!
